Sonogram

We had our sonogram today. It was wonderful. So amazing to see the baby move- and boy does he/she move alot! The sonographer was having a hard time getting the shots she wanted because the baby kept moving. And apparently, he/she is measuring a week larger than expected at almost 10 oz. Unfortunately the sonographer was having technical difficulties with her printer and it ate most of our pictures... but here are two, such as they are. The one with"face" on the bottom is the baby is looking at the camera and lying on its side, so the two dark spots are the eyes. I think that one looks a little bit like an alien.... The other with "profile" is supposed to be a profile of the face, but either the baby moved or it's really more like a 3/4 face shot cause it doesn't look as good as the real profiles we were able to see live. But you can see the little hand towards the bottom left. We did see the spine, both legs and feet, both arms and hands, the heart beating, two kidneys, the bladder and stomach. Erik was pretty good at picking out the parts as they came up on screen. All in all, an incredible experience!

the peanut has hands, eyes and all other essential bits, what a relief! I have to admit, however, that I take you word for it, because I have a hard time seeing the parts. It does, however, make it more "real" now, grinning
love all three of 'ya

Wow! So amazing...
Was it hard not to ask or look to see about whether baby is he or she?
