36 week Midwife appointment

Well, this appointment had the midwife a little concerned. My blood pressure diastolic reading had elevated to 84- where previously it had always been in the high 60s. They want to see me back on Thursday this week to check it again. Until then, I am supposed to get plenty of fluids and rest on my left side for two hours mid-morning and two hours mid-afternoon everyday. Hopefully, everything will be back to normal on Thursday. I am convinced this elevation was due to the warm weather and the fact that I had to walk to two different labs to get my blood drawn before my appointment (the first lab everyone was on lunch break). So I was probably a little stressed at my midwife appointment. But I'll know more on Thursday. Until then I'll take extra special care of myself. Think good thoughts!
