Car Seat

Well, the question we get asked alot these days is "is the carseat in." So, I'm here to say that today I tried my hand at installing our infant car seat and then went down to the Maynard Police Department and had the officer trained in car seat safety inspect it and give me some more information. It was a good thing, because, well, a physically fit officer is better at climbing into the back of an SUV and putting his knee on the base of the carseat and pulling that seat belt as hard as possible to get the seat base in tight and not able to move. My pregnant self's effort was, let's just say, less impressive. The instruction manual was also not exactly Pulitzer Prize winning non-fiction either and left me a little confused. All is well now though and we have the officer's stamp of approval.

In case it gets moved between now and the big ride home, don't fret over the car seat...there's a car seat checkpoint when you leave the hospital...We thought ours was perfect until they checked it for us!

Get a second for Car # 2 also, you don't want to have to take it out and move it!!! Once it is secure, leave it! And get one for grandparents too!!
