Memorial Day weekend

We had lots of fun this weekend. Saturday we had a Yard Sale and cook out at Tarah and Ken's house (but I didn't get any pics that day). We had a very yummy dinner with Tarah, Ken, Isabelle, Adeline, Suzanne, Bob, Ben, Mema and Papa. We also brought Willow along to play with Onslow all day. We had nice weather for the most part- a quick shower in the afternoon- and lots of fun.

Sunday Erik, Keagan and I went to Salem Willows Park in Salem, MA. It's a great spot with beaches, a big park with lots of grassy hills and picnic spots, and a strip of street with lots of food, arcades and kid rides. Keagan went on his first ride (other than little one-car rides at the mall that just bounce up and down). Erik was pretty nervous to put him on it, thinking he might freak out and you just have to wait it out till the ride stops, but Keagan loved it! His first ride he wanted to get in the same car as two other kids (and they were the only 3 kids on the ride). They all had a blast riding together. Keagan loved "steering" and beeping the horn and would say "weeeeee!" when he passed us. It was adorable. Of course he had to go on again, and then he went on a little boat ride. For some reason the carousel wasn't doing it for him and he didn't want to get on that. They have a gorgeous 19th century carousel there. Keagan saw another kid get a balloon out of this fun machine that spits the balloon out and blows it up for you, so of course we put the $1.50 in to get him one. Sadly, the balloon popped minutes later as Keagan was bashing it against a brick wall. He handled it very well though and didn't cry about it. I was shocked. We enjoyed a fried seafood dinner in the shade afterwards. Keagan was starving from all the adventure and he ate a whole grilled cheese and about 12 oz of milk, plus he tried a fried clam!

On Monday we went to Lake Boon beach in Stow for the morning. Keagan loved hanging out on the raft which is in about 2 feet of water right now because the beach isn't technically open. He couldn't get enough "boat" time and loved watching all the speed boats go by. In the afternoon we went to our friends Mark and Amy's house and had a BBQ dinner. Keagan even got to go in the tub with Loula- definately a highlight to his weekend.
