Keagan's First Trip to the Green Mountains

We just got back from a trip to Bennington Vermont. We were there for Keagan's Great-Grandpa Gustavson's birthday party. It was a really nice weekend with the whole Gustavson clan and we stayed in the motel my grandfather used to own- which was a trip down memory lane. The motel has 3 cabins off to one side of it so Mema and Papa were in one, Tarah, Ken and the girls were in another, then Erik, Keagan and I were in the third. It was a lot of fun to stay together for a couple nights. Keagan thoroughly enjoyed having Isabelle come over to his cabin first thing in the morning. The forecast was for rain all weekend, but somehow we lucked out and although it was cloudy and humid (not exactly the crisp, cool Vermont Fall weather we expected), it didn't rain for the party. We were very grateful because having all the kids, plus Willow, Onslow and Grandpa's dog Coco inside all day would have been a challenge! Happy Birthday, Grandpa! We were so happy to share it with you!

It is so nice to see that dogs can come to family get-togethers! Every time I see your aunt, I think it's Donna! Glad the weather held off...this was the WORST weekend in the history of weather keeping! Everyone looks cool and happy - in spite of the humidity. As long as the mosquitos aren't too bad - it's tolerable. There's nothing worse than fending those things off toddlers! Glad Keagan likes his "school!" Moms take separation much harder than the kids! Love, PEG

Isabelle told me on Monday morning that she was sad we were back home because " I never want to leave where you got married!"
