Post Hospital Check-up

We went to our normal doctor's office today for a check-up on Keagan's progress. Things are going very well. The doctor didn't hear any wheezing in his chest, and Keagan did give him a good couple of coughs to hear while we were there, but the doctor didn't think they sounded at all worrisome. He advised us to stop the regularly scheduled albuterol treatments and just use the nebulizer if he has another episode of wheezing. We're done with the oral steroid tonight, so he advised us to keep a close eye tomorrow because if the steroid was doing alot for him at this point, he could relapse a bit when it's not still in his system. Other than that, we're in the clear and should be back to normal once his cough subsides.

Keagan did very well not screaming the second we went into the exam room- which he has been known to do. I think his stay in the hospital actually helped to make him not so afraid of everyone with a stethescope around their neck. When our doctor started to listen to his breathing I said "Remember it's just like at the hospital, take a deep breath" and Keagan did, in fact, take a couple good in and out breaths and the doctor said "I've never had a two year old do that for me on command." Way to go, Keagan!
