Cookies with a side of virus

Keagan has been asking to make Christmas cookies this week and since the poor little guy hasn't been allowed to leave the house, except for doctor's appointments, since Saturday, I thought it would be a nice treat. He wanted to do everything himself, which I tried to allow as much as was safely possible. This lead to some measuring question marks, but in the end, the cookies turned out fine. He had a lot of fun rolling the dough out and picking what shapes to use from our big 100+ cookie cutter box. We ended up with some 4-leaf clovers, pumpkins, teddy bears, stars and a couple others. I also made our own colored sugar with some food coloring and put it into egg cups which were the perfect size for him to pinch out of. All-in-all we spent about an hour on the task. Unfortunately, his appetite is still not good and he only ate one bite of the finished product, but I'm not complaining. He also coughed into the dough about a dozen times during the process, so these will be cookies not shared with friends.
