Christmas Day

Merry Christmas!!!
We had a really nice day today. It was the first time we have stayed home, in our PJs, for the entire day on Christmas. This is a tradition we are keeping!
Santa snuck into Keagan's room and put a new truck-themed fleece blanket on his bed (to replace the baby blankets he was still using) and his stocking next to his bookshelf. Unfortunately, when Keagan first woke up he was very cranky and saying his "eyes hurt." We figured out he was just still tired and he was fine after a few minutes. You know that feeling when you wake up before your body is really ready and your eyes do not want to open? I think that's what he had. It was a busy day yesterday and I'm guessing he could have used another half hour of sleep. But after he perked up and noticed the blanket and stocking, he was much better.
Santa also put a train track around the tree with a new battery operated Thomas train with his two coaches Annie and Claribel. That was a big hit. As was the one present Keagan asked Santa for, which was a train roundhouse. Torin enjoyed some new chewy toys and Keagan loved that he got to open all of Torin's packages too, since Torin was too little. It was funny thinking about last year when Keagan took 3 days to open his presents- this year he TORE through them. Willow also got a couple new balls and a rope toy.
Later in the afternoon Mema and Papa came over, bringing a second round of presents. They got Keagan a basketball net on a stand that Keagan REALLY wanted to use right away, but that might have to wait for a warmer day (or at least a snow-less day to set it up). We had a lovely ham dinner as well- although left out the formality for Keagan, who just grabbed some munchies and went back to playing with his new toys. As it should be on Christmas :)
