Snow!!!!

We got about 2 feet of snow here today. Yikes. We still had some snow left from the last storm on the ground. I took a picture of Erik at the end of the driveway, just to document that the pile from the plow was AT HIS ELBOWS. He was a trooper and did most of it himself. I tried to help some once I finally got Torin suited up and outside, but Torin didn't last very long. Torin and I headed in for some warming up by the fire. Keagan loved being out with Erik though. They made a slide on the pile at the end of the driveway for him to go down. (See the video below)
Then we had a hot chocolate catastrophe when the boys came back in. Keagan decided he wanted to try hot chocolate and I put some in a mug for him and gave him a straw. Two bad things here: 1) it was too hot 2) by sucking it up through a straw it shocked his pallet much more than if he had just tried a sip. And for the record, it wasn't scalding hot, it was totally drinkable, even cooler than the average adult would have had it, but for Keagan it was shocking and he was so upset he got down from the table and cried on the couch. Sigh. He's a sensitive one. Sadly, I think it will be a while before we can coax him into trying it again.
