Sniffle Update

I called the pediatrician and any sort of decongestant is a no-no till 6 months, but I did get some saline nasal spray and some baby Vicks Vapor Rub (which is good for 3 month olds and up- it doesn't have any medicine in it, just nice smells really) and Keagan seemed quite comfortable for most of last night- that is after the screaming involved with mommy spraying saline in his nose and then sucking his nose out with the aspirator. We also had our first mommy and baby bath together with Erik helping out from the sidelines. That was fun, and no screaming even when we washed his head (which is usually when he screams in his baby tub). So after the bath we put on the Vicks and wrapped him up for bed and he seemed quite comfy. He's again a bit snotty this morning, but mornings are always the worst for sniffles, I think. I'm thinking this may not really be a cold, but just something bothering his nose since he's not feverish and it's really mild, but if it lasts more than a couple days the pediatrician said to call back and come in just to check him out.

If he's still congested tomorrow morning, take him inside the bathroom whileyou and Erik are taking showers... the steam will hep unplug his nose. :) Good luck!
