This is Keagan in his new highchair (thanks Uncle Fred). Shortly after this was taken he had a meltdown concerning the consumption of rice cereal. He did take his first swig from his sippy cup (water with a little breast milk) and boy did that warrant an interesting face. This morning he decided to completely reject the whole senario of mealtime... as if saying "don't pretend this in any way takes the place of nursing" and camped at the breast for 20 minutes afterwards. I'm trying not to push it; I don't want him to think mealtime is stressful and a place where he gets forced into doing things. We'll just try again later. We had better luck last night when daddy was home to distract and make him laugh so he opened his mouth and mommy could swoop in with a spoonful.
