I have been trying to teach Keagan a little bit about patience, in the sense that he can't get everything he wants right at that second, even though I am willing to give it to him. This is no small task for a toddler. My biggest success so far has been with toast. I taught him you have to "wait for the ding" and then the toast is done and can be eaten. Now he gets very excited when he hears the toaster oven "ding" and says "ding, ding, toast toast!"
So the other day I was making him some pasta (aka "hot noodles") and told him, that like the toast, we have to wait until it's done before we can eat it. A few grueling minutes later and the pasta was finally ready. I said to Keagan "Ok, hot noodles are ready" and Keagan shouted from his high chair "Ding! Ding! Ding!".
Precious.
