a warm day and a sand box! We finally put sand in Keagan's sandbox and he is loving it on these warmer days. He loves dump trucks and "bullbozies" (I never knew how cute the subject of bulldozers could be until Keagan started calling them "bullbozies"), which are lots of fun in the sand. We're still working on not throwing the sand, or scooping it up and dumping it outside of the box... that could be a long battle... but all in all he's playing very well in it. He isn't even eating too much :)

Just plan to buy more sand yearly, they will dump and dump and dump outside the box forever!

I can totally tell EXACTLY what Keagan is going to look like when he is a little old man, sitting in his garden in a big floppy sun hat. So cute!
We have found there is no way to really prevent the sand dumping...so it is a good thing that sand is cheap. The only thing that sort of helped when we had isabelle and ty was to put in the minimum amount of sand into the play area... then they dump the minimal amount and you can refill. if we had put in inches of sand it would have been gone very quickly and without adding much to the fun of the dumping. I thikn they like the act of dumping more than the quantity of what is dumped so just put in a little as you go and accept that most of the sand will end up in your yard (and hair, and shoes, and diapers...and...) but hey then there is less to mow!
