Mommy's weekend away

Sorry for the lack in posts this past week.
This weekend I went to Sag Harbor to work at BayBurger with Liza and Joe and do a really special catering job with them. It was very odd to travel alone and when the ferry ticket booth worker asked me how many passengers, I had to think twice before saying "just me." It was fun to hang out with friend sans baby, but I definitely missed my boys.
Keagan and Erik had the whole weekend together at home. Keagan was very good for his Daddy and only asked for me a couple times, and without getting really upset. The two boys went to Erik's parents house, the playground, the Discovery Museum, and the Bean House together to keep busy.
When I got home on Sunday evening, Keagan was finishing dinner and was soooooo happy to see me. It was amazing. He kept saying "Hi Mommy...Mommy's home....hi mommy...mommy's home..." for several minutes. I was so glad he didn't have the reaction of being mad at me for leaving. He was totally fine going to bed that night and the only possible repercussion is that yesterday he napped for just an hour and a half and woke up calling "Mommy...mommy...mommy!" as if he were worried I was gone again (I left after putting him down for his nap on Friday).
The weekend was good for all of us, I think, but I don't think I'll be rushing right out again ;)

Good for you! That was really hard to do, I know. You almost feel like it's fun to be away, but you feel a tug to someplace else. I still feel that way, and Charlotte's 5!
