Yesterday Keagan and I went to the beach on Lake Boon with some playgroup pals. It was nice to have a real summery day for a change. The temperature was actually perfect for my taste- just warm enough that you wanted to go in the water, but not too hot when you were hanging out on the sand. Keagan continues to love the water and we spent most of our time in it. Keagan discovered it's fun to make a splashy, dramatic entrance into the water and so repeatedly got out and ran back in full speed. The kids also adventured over to a floating dock, where we let them jump off into mommy arms- which was quite the thrill. We definately need to start wearing some swim suits with the life preserver built into them so he can be more adventurous without me getting more grey hairs ;)

Doodle, we got coast guard approved vests for Ty and Isabelle when they were 2 and they rock! they are for 20 -40 lbs. Isabelle and Devyn used them in NC just last month. They were each like $20 but SO worth the investment. It definately makes their bodies float. You still have to watch them but if they slip under at least they pop back up.
End of season now you should be able to get them for cheap.
Check Target too for the Speedo Swim Vests...they are great, and I think they are alos USCG approved! They come in 2-4 year or 4-6 y.o. sizes. End of summer sale is right!!!!
