Ok, if you're sensitive to fecal talk, don't read this post.
Keagan did his first poop on the potty today! Well, half a poop anyway. We were reading some books in his room getting ready for naptime, when he asked to get down and I noticed the tell-tale squat. I said "Keagan, would you like to go poops on the potty?" to which he exclaimed "Yes Mommy!" and ran out of his room when I opened the door. I got him out of his diaper quickly, but there was already a deposit in there, then he sat on the potty and finished the job! It was actually the first time he's really sat on the potty for more than a few seconds. We put him on it before bathtime, but he usually sits for a couple seconds and then jumps up "All done!" This time he sat for a few minutes and we talked about the potty and who goes potty and all that fun stuff. Then he got to flush his poop in the toilet and say "Bye-bye" which was followed by "Oh no, sad" and me explaining it's not sad to see poop go down the drain.
In November my Maynard Mom friends are going to a seminar called From Pampers to Potty- so by Christmas, we should be well on our way to no more diapers!

Good job!! poopie is harder to get them to do than pee pee, so your ahead of the game. Travel with a little potty in the back of your car. Those little ones at Target are great. We never had an accident during training with that in the back seat...We even used it recently (for pee pee only now), during a trip to NH. Keep it up! You won't miss buying diapers!
