Train Museum!

This has been an exciting weekend. We bought a new car for Erik on Saturday! It's a Scion (Toyota) XA- a little hatchback, great gas mileage commuting car. So of course, we had to take a little trip in it. We went up to the Wenham Museum because they have a model train exhibit going on. It was a lot of fun. Keagan loved watching the trains and getting to push the buttons to make them go. The museum was busy and it got to be a bit overwhelming by the end, but he told us he was ready to go before a meltdown occurred. I asked him on the way to the car "Did you have fun at the Train Musuem" and he said "Yes... I got tired." I proceeded to thank him for telling us he was tired and ready to go. He took a little nap in the car on the way home.

When we got home he decided to go into his "big boy room" (the room we have his toddler bed set up in) and close the door behind him. We have a video monitor in there and watched him snuggle in the toddler bed for a while, then get up and play some and then come out. We were so excited. This is first time he's taken initiative to go in there himself. I'm hoping he'll decide he can do that whenever he needs some quiet time, and maybe even take a nap or two again!
