This morning was Keagan's school and playgroup pals party. He wanted a Curious George theme. It was beautiful weather, not too hot, but plenty warm for the kids to get into the kiddie pools. I was just psyched that the 12 kids didn't have to be running around in the house! They had a much better time outside and everyone got along well. It is great to have so many kids age 4 and under and no tantrums or meltdowns!
Poor Keagan was a little bit overwhelmed when everyone arrived and shut down a bit. I think he was just so excited for the party, and probably had a picture in his head of what would happen that didn't quite match reality. I talked to him a bit about it, and we sat on the picnic blanket with some snacks and then he was ready to go!
The highlight for me may have been his face when everyone sang Happy Birthday to him. It was precious.
Second birthday party tomorrow!
