Next week is the Spring parent/teacher conference time at preschool and they always send home a summary sheet with some development things checked off and commented on, and then a little write-up from the teacher. Then, at the conference, you go over everything with the teacher. This was the final paragraph from the teacher.
"Keagan is a joy to have in class. He enjoys learning new things and has a lot of information which he enjoys sharing with the class. He is well liked by his peers and a good friend to all. He is ready to head off to kindergarten in the Fall."
His teacher is a veteran preschool teacher. She kind of reminds me of my mom, actually, in her obvious love of teaching and the care she shows for her students. Her competence with a crowd of 3 and 4 year olds is profoundly evident, and in return, they would follow her to the ends of the Earth. I respect her opinion (knowing she won't give praise where it is unearned) and greatly appreciate her role in Keagan's life (this is her second year with him in school, which is a long time to a 4 year old!). I'm looking forward to the conference next week!
