Mema and Papa were up at the beach house this week, so I decided to take the boys up for a couple nights. We had nice weather and lots of fun. It was a bit trickier traveling without Erik, but much easier than last year! I think the boys liked having lots of attention from Mema and Papa for a couple days. We went to two beaches, out to eat a couple times, and of course to the amusement park (where Mema let Keagan play LOTS of carnival games). Torin was tall enough this year to go on most of the kiddie rides and he loved it. Though you wouldn't know it when you put him on them because the whole time he would make his "serious" face. Then, when the ride stopped he would cry "More! More!" Weirdo. Keagan was also psyched that he was tall enough for the big rainbow slide. He must have gone down it a dozen times (yeay for all-day bracelets). He was also big enough for the big roller coaster and the smaller "Orient Express" coaster. I went on them both with him and he was THRILLED. Thankfully, I can handle those, but some of the others he may have been tall enough for (at least with an adult) I may have fibbed on the height requirement for... I'm not the best with most rides. I didn't want the trip to include "then Mommy threw up in the trash can!"
I'm hoping this little trip up will make them more at ease with being up there later this Summer when we go up again with Erik.
