How to surive a heatwave

This week's heat wave was downright oppressive. On one particularly hot, cranky afternoon I decided to break out the sprinkle pool! Willow and Keagan were much appreciative. Keagan has refused to wear sandels so far, so he of course got his sneakers and socks soaking wet. He then went over to his sandbox (all wet, mind you) and proceeded to get sand in places you don't really want sand. Eventually, he ended up nude in the backyard.
I may have actually enjoyed the sprinkler pool more than anyone. I would have never guessed how much you can cool off with those things! That, coupled with a large iced coffee that Erik brought home for me on his was back from work (put another check next to why I married this man), made for a very enjoyable evening.

That humidity was BRUTAL!! Hey, try some crocs for Keagan. The kids all love them, and if he has wide feet....even better....they are super comfy! (I don't know of anyone whose been hurt wearing them, they are a staple at school). Charlotte's been wearing them since she was 20 months, and still prefers them over anything.
