First Day of Pre-Pre-School
Today was Keagan's first day at "Terrific Twos"- a program through the Sudbury Rec Dept that is a drop-off (!) for an hour and a half for two year olds. We will be doingn it every Thursday through January. It was very exciting for both of us. I bought a cute, tiny, toddler sized backpack that is adorable. We have to bring a change of clothes, baby wipes, and a snack in that. Keagan is having trouble getting dressed these days, so that was the hardest part this morning. Once he was dressed and in the car, he was fine. Then when we got to the building he was super excited because he knows it as the place with the pool and where we had craft class. He was actually jumping up and down with excitement outside of the classroom when he saw all the kids waiting. He literally ran into the room when the teachers opened the door and didn't look back. I asked one of the teachers "Should I stay or leave?" and they said "Oh, it's up to you what you want to do" and I said "Don't leave it up to me, I've never done this before!" So I went over to Keagan, who was busy at play, and just gave him a quick hug and said "ok, see you later" and that was it! At pick-up time, Keagan was the first one out the door and ran at me smiling saying "Mommy, mommy!" and talked my ear off about "school." I'm really happy he liked it, and I hope he's just as happy next week. I'm alittle concerned now that he'll know what happens when we get there (i.e. mom leaves), he might put up more of a fight, but seeing how well he seemed to do, he might just be excited to go back!

That's so exciting! Glad it went well - and YAY for having some time for yourself!!!
I bet it was the fastest 1.5 hours in your life!! I am glad he did well though, it makes life easier!! Emma would never let me go! Now at almost 8 y.o. she is like "mom, leave already"!!
