Davis Farmland

The weather was so beautiful that Keagan and I decided to take a trip to Davis Farmland with some friends this afternoon. They have a deal after 2pm for half price admission during April and May. It is a large place with lots of play areas for kids, plus tons of farm animals, a hayride and a nice snack/ice cream bar. It's basically Keagan's idea of Heaven. He was not too keen on the farm animals after he walked past a sheep pen where a large sheep (whose head was right at his head height) let out a loud "Baaaaaa!" This was a bit scary and left Keagan wanting to head back to the play areas. He did enjoy the hayride (of course) and this farm is really interesting because they specialize in endangered farm species, so you see some types of livestock that you won't find just anywhere. Keagan mastered climbing up a rope ladder on this trip and went up and down this one climber with a yellow slide for about 20 minutes. I also loved when he went in the Cozy Coupe Car race track and had to sit in ever single one of the cars on the track.
We ended the day with an ice cream cone after nearly 3 hours of play. That didn't stop Keagan from wanting to be in the backyard when we got home and keeping Erik out there for another hour before dinner. I can't blame him with 70 degree weather, but we were all exhausted at the dinner table.
