OOB Vacation

We finally got a chance to go up to Old Orchard Beach, ME and stay at Tarah and Ken's little beach house there. It is a great location and we can't wait to spend more time up there next Summer. Torin was not a big fan of the beach with the wind and sun, so I spent the beach time bouncing him in the Ergo carrier to keep him happy and protected. Erik and Keagan had a fabulous time flying the kite, making sandcastles and mud pies and catching some waves. This was Keagan's first real experience with waves and he had a blast. Aside from the beach, we also went to the amusement park (which is at he beach) and got Keagan a two-day wrist band which was fantastic. He loved the rides and wanted to stay on some two or three times in a row and with the wrist band flashed at the attendant it was like "ok, Buddy, stay on again!", who wants to deal with tickets with a toddler? Not me. So Keagan had his fill of the trucks, cars, planes and motorcycles plus a couple rides that I went on with him including their gorgeous carousel, but we didn't get a picture of that- I think Papa has some though, so we'll check those out later. Keagan was already scoping out the rides you have to be 42 inches tall for (he's like 37 right now) and we told him we'll see how big he is next year. We also went to the Seaside Trolley Museum for a trolley ride and to see all their trains. Unfortunately it was really hot on Monday so walking around outside to view the trains was a sweaty endeavor, but Keagan enjoyed it anyway.
Thanks to Tarah and Ken for finding such a great house and sharing it with the family :):) We can't wait to make more memories there.

Looks like fun! Charlotte would love that little amusement park! Torin is so cute! He looks like he has a tan in the first photo, even a tad ethnic! Must be the lighting!
